A summer with one lens
This summer I put every lens except a small 35mm prime in a drawer. The idea was to stop thinking about equipment and start thinking about where to stand.
The first two weeks were frustrating. After that, I noticed I was walking more, getting closer, and taking fewer but more deliberate pictures. I missed the zoom exactly twice, both times for birds.
The lens is going back in the drawer with the others now, but I expect to reach for it first for a long time.
